I want to study web development. The same classes at U Mass Online for $11.5k are only $2k through the HTML Writers Guild.
Has anyone landed a decent job after taking classes from the HTML Writers Guild? Please share.
If you don’t know what the HTML Writers Guild is, please do so before answering my question because, as implied in my question, they teach everything U Mass teaches.
Job description for Copywriter at Livemercial. Straight from the mouth of a Livemercial Copywriter. … copy writer copywriter editor writing jobs digital

I am a newbie writer and I am looking out for freelance writing jobs in India. Are there any websites in India that offer freelance writing jobs to newcomers? It’ll be great to get some feedback on my writing as well.

What jobs can you do other then being the writer or director in the movie?
What schools would you need to go to?
How much money would you make?

So I’m planning to set up a website to showcase my portfolio, but I am pursuing three different careers at once- copywriting, screenwriting and music (singing).
I did an AA in Screenwriting so I have a few movie/TV scripts that I’m ready to put in now. I’ll be starting a 2nd AA in Advertising (Copywriting emphasis) this Fall so I’ll also add some of my work later on. Having quite a lot of experiences in performing live, singing is something I’m pursuing as well (probably my #1 priority) and I want to post some of my demos when they’re ready.
The QUESTION is: is it better for me to chuck them all into one site OR should I build separate websites for each field (and maybe post my singing demos on MySpace etc)???? Thanks in advance for your help. Anyone’s opinion will be greatly appreciated.

I’m currently a desktop publisher at a Commercial Real Estate brokerage, but was wondering what other options there are with my background. I have a degree in Communication, minored in Literature, and a dream job would be to write and/or edit. What options other than being a starving artist are there?

What type of degree is required or is best for becoming a copywriter? Any info at all on this career.

what were the qualifications?
did you like your job?

ive always wanted to work in the advertising industry but recently i found out how much i specfically want to aim for being an advertising art director! however, i’ve researched into it, a lot of people who do these jobs all have art backgrounds or have taken graphics courses… but i haven’t! i haven’t even done art in GCSE…and therefore no creative subjects in A levels. most of those case studies i read, the people all did visual communications or copywriting/art direction …and you need to have an art background to do any of those… right now, i’m going on to do advertising and marketing communications with a language… should i change? or could i do some sort of supplement course? when would i do it, along with my degree? and does it matter i don’t have any art background? … and i dont have a portfolio either!!!
so now what?!
thank you for your help!

Like those who write for soaps, kids shows, 7th heaven, etc
who repeat the same plots and bad jokes we have seen over and over and over (ex. main character must be in 2 places at once, girl ditches geeky date for hot guy but learns looks aren’t everything)
who pays and supports them?
I feel like anyone could do that
